Configuring GPRS settings

There are two places where are you may change GPRS settings: in the Web Interface and in the TPS Agent.

Configure GPRS settings in the Web Interface

Open TPS Web Interface and click GPRS menu item:

To start or restart already established GPRS connection click Restart; to stop - click Stop.

If GPRS connection is active (connection is establised or connecting process is trying to establish the GPRS connection), the green label active is shown.
Otherwise red inactive label is displayed.

To edit GPRS connection profile click profile name hyperlink (eg, Pmts):

You may have several enabled or disabled profiles with unique profile name.
Each profile connected with some socket where are you placed GPRS modem Tibbit to.
Do not enable different profiles connected to the same socket - they will interfere each other.

Please choose some unique chat script name for your connection and set it into Chat Script Name field.

Set Username and Password if your provider requires PAP,CHAP/MSCHAP or MSCHAPv2 authorization

Debug Enabled flag allows you to see the connection process in system journal.

Server name and service dial number (Phone) are usually required to setup the GPRS session.

The field Unit ID is required to identify the active GPRS connection. This field have to be unique among all profiles.

Click Update to save settings, Delete to remove profile's data.

To get an access to full chat script text and edit it manually click Enabled button on top right corner of the Configurator window:

Enter chat commands you need in Chat Script block.
In the chat script below script enters PIN to GPRS modem and disables the echo:

Note that TPS Agent also supports SMS, phone calls and USSD requests.
