Linux TPS LEDs State Diagnostics

Linux TPP3 or TPP2 have 8 status LEDs.

OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

OV LED is usually OFF. It is reserved for future use.
HB is the "Heartbeat" LED. When OS is active it gives monotonic impulses that looks like a heartbeat.
BL#4 is used by OS applications and bootloader.
BL#3 is used by OS applications and bootloader.
BL#2 is used by OS applications and bootloader.
BL#1 is used by OS applications and bootloader.
BL#0 is used by OS applications and bootloader.
ET is ON when Ethernet is up.

Bootup Indication

In several seconds after board reset
OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

Ethernet is ON, first part of the bootloader is active.

In 2 seconds after previous step
OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

Bootloader is fully functional.

In 2 seconds after previous step
OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

Waiting for user to push the MD button to load factory default device configuration.

[optional]
OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

User pushed MD button to load factory default device configuration, loading...

OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

System is ready, no applications attached to blue leds.

Default AggreGate Status LEDs Indication

OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

HB "Heartbit" blinking - OS is alive;
BL#3 is BLINKING means AggreGate Server is starting;
BL#3 is ON means AggreGate Server is running;
BL#4 is ON means AggreGate TPSAgent is running;
ET is ON - Ethernet is UP;

Firmware Update Mode

  1. Firmware Downloading
  2. Diring the firmware downloading state blue LEDs (BL#n) blink chaotically
    OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

  3. Firmware Update
  4. Blue LEDs will indicate the number of NAND part that's updating now with binary ariphmetics. The longest (about 5 minutes) possible update is for Operating System NAND part (#11). During this state number 11 will be shown by blue LEDs:
    OV HB BL#4 BL#3 BL#2 BL#1 BL#0 ET

For your future convinience please do not interrupt firmware update process.
